On July 2nd, 2019, members of the Rushville Redevelopment Commission and Area Planning Commission held a joint meeting with the Rushville City Council to approve a declaratory resolution to allow Cormo USA to inhabit the Commerce Park at Rushville. The Rushville City Council, Redevelopment Commission, and Area Planning Commission unanimously approved the resolution.

CORMO USA intends to begin production in late 2019, ramping up to ultimately process over 150,000 acres of maize stover into a 100 percent sustainable peat moss substitute for agricultural uses and foam products for material science uses.

CORMO USA will host a meeting for farmers at 7 p.m. on July 17 in the Root Building at the Rush County Fairgrounds. Farmers are encouraged to attend to learn about Cormo USA and how they can get involved with the company.
